This lovely family who are located in Edinburgh are looking for a permanent nanny to care for their three children aged 5, 3 and 15 months starting ASAP. This is a long term commitment.
The hours required are below and the family can offer up to 30 hours per week:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays to 6pm (start time flexible)
Thursdays 8.15am to 6pm (9.75 hours)
A degree of flexibility is required to support changing work plans. There is also the potential to do evening babysitting.
Their oldest child enjoys being outside playing sports and playing in the garden as well as helping with gardening but also loves playing with Lego and painting, crafting, junk modelling, woodwork etc. He is very inquisitive and likes to learn new things/ learning about the world. He is keen on crafting and junk modelling. Their 3 year old is very active and also enjoys Lego, messy play/playdough, writing and learning numbers, singing and dancing and playing with dolls/”bunny”; she is very sociable and outgoing. She also enjoys crafts. Both older children enjoy cooking healthy meals.
Their youngest is a well developed child with a lot of energy, he loves playing with his brother and sister and getting involved in their activities, but he is also quite independent. He enjoys soft play, swimming, bookbugs, music bugs and all forms of messy play. He enjoys making and playing with playdough. He likes helping in the garden too.
They are looking for a reliable, flexible nanny who has plenty of experience in caring for children from toddlers through to school age and is interested in the children’s development. They must be calm and kind with plenty of common sense and a sense of humour. They are seeking someone who is adaptable to the family’s needs and who is sensitive to the family’s privacy and boundaries also. Someone who has lots of energy and enthusiasm and will keep the children active and busy. A non smoker is essential.
Usual nanny duties would include providing stimulating activities for the children in terms of their development. Caring for the children’s needs i.e. meals/cooking, organising the children’s laundry and keeping the play areas tidy.
They would also like the nanny to take their toddler to classes and assist with school/nursery drop offs.
There is free parking available at the family home, but a driver is not essential for this role. It would be desirable if the person had their own transport to ensure they are not totally reliant on public transport.
Hourly rate is from £15 per hour.
