Training
At Lothian Childcare Solutions, we recommend that all staff undertake at least the following training courses to support them in their role and in protecting children:
- Child first aid
- Child Protection
- Food handling
We expect all staff to keep their training up-to-date and take responsibility for informing Lothian Childcare Solutions of any training they have attended. We will update staff files accordingly.
If staff are registered with SSSC, they are expected to undertake at least 60 hours of relevant training. This can include reading publications and online tutorials. They must keep their training log up-to-date and demonstrate how they have used training to improve their performance in their role.
We will post links to new publications and interesting information here. We expect all staff to visit this page on a regular basis.
Please also visit our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages where we will post regular articles and new information related to childcare.
