We are recruiting a flexible weekend nanny to support a busy family who live in Direlton, East Lothian. This is currently for either a Saturday OR a Sunday. From the end of this year, they will be looking for support across two sessions for three hours each.
Dad works away two months at a time so this position is to give mum some time on her own or support with the children for approximately three hours one day at the weekend. These hours will look different when Dad is home and will be discussed with at least two weeks prior notice.
They currently have two children ages 6 and 3 years and are due their third child early October 2026.
Hourly rate: £20 per hour gross
Start Date: ASAP
Days and Hours: Either a Saturday or a Sunday between the hours of 9am and 4pm for approximately 3 hours.
They have two active, fun loving, intelligent children who love a variety of activities both indoors and out. This includes playing football, gardening, visiting the beach, walking, cycling, colouring, drawing, painting and playing games. They attend a variety of sports activities including tennis, golf, swimming, football, ballet and the local art club. They also receive tutoring from a local French teacher. They are two well rounded children who take things in their stride and are not afraid of trying new things. They have attended a variety of nurseries and enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. They are both doing well at nursery and school. They both communicate in French as well as English.
As a family, they do all of the above together but spend lots of their free time on the beach, out on their bikes, for a walk, gardening, skiing, swimming, staying in and spending time doing activities together. They travel when they are able, particularly if it’s an opportunity to see family in France or visit Dad while he is away working.
They are looking for a reliable nanny who is fun, playful and active while also professional, conscious of safety, tidy and organised. Someone who can also support mum when their new baby arrives too. A non smoker.
They ideally need a driver with their own car: there is free parking at the family home.
They have a very loving cat.
