is a Childcare Recruitment Agency set up in 2017 by Pamela Cormack. Based from an office in East Lothian the agency offer a wide range of childcare services across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Scottish Borders. They are also happy to help families beyond these areas.
She really understands the issues families face when looking for high quality childcare and the need to support parents with a very personable and affordable service.
Her warm and friendly personality puts everyone at ease and her personal approach allows her to get to know the needs of each child and family or childcare setting to ensure that the right candidate is matched to each role.
Pamela has a wealth of experience in childcare and knowledge of National childcare regulations and requirements. She was integral to the set-up of a Childcare Agency group within the Care Inspectorate (the regulatory body for Care Services in Scotland) which specifically supported and inspected Childcare Agencies across Scotland. This ensured consistency during inspections and the ability to offer advice and support improvement in the quality of these services. Her knowledge ensures that she gives the best childcare solutions to families and services.
I adore this pair – my son and our adorable dog Barney. They bring me so much joy. We also have a new puppy, Bailey, who has brought a new level of chaos to our house! As a full-time working Mum in business, I value our family time together so much; something I will never take for granted and I am grateful for every single day.
I have worked in childcare most of my adult life; in nurseries, a Children and Families Centre and, from 2007 until 2017, as an inspector of early years services and childcare agencies with The Care Inspectorate. I decided in 2017 that travelling the country as an inspector while my son was small meant he and I were both missing out. It was at that point that I decided to set up Lothian Childcare Solutions, a childcare agency who recruit and offer high quality childcare to families and early years services.
As well as having qualifications and experience in childcare, management and regulating care services, my knowledge of the childcare regulations and employing someone in a care role means that I ensure that clients always receive a high-quality service. I recognise what quality care looks like and I ensure that workers are aligned with the same values.
My values are important to me as is always trying my very best to help and support families. I will always try to find a way to help.
