We are recruiting a temporary nanny on behalf of a lovely family who live in the Morningside area of Edinburgh.
They have two children ages 4 and 18 months.
Start date: 2 June 2026
End date: End of October 2026, with scope to be 18 months if everything works well.
The hourly rate: £18 per hour gross.
Days and Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 5pm (totalling 16 hours per week).
During term time, the majority of the care will be for their youngest. She is an extremely happy little girl, with no fear and enjoys climbing at will. She is very talkative and very alert. She would like a nanny who will read and play with her and ideally who has a keen interest in animals. She has a dairy intolerance but is starting on the milk ladder.
Their oldest child attends pre-school but will be around during the school holidays. The nanny may be asked to collect him at 3pm occasionally depending on his parents work commitments. The parents will be working from home.
As a family they enjoy each others company, playing games, hide and seek and being outdoors. The parents try to give the children as much attention as possible and keep screens to an absolute minimum: the children are their main focus.
They would like their nanny to show kindness, be attentive, nurturing & patient and most of all fun as their youngest just loves to laugh and is a very cheeky little girl.
Paediatric first aid is beneficial or a willingness to attend, as is food hygiene and child protection/safeguarding. All can be completed before the start date if needed.
A non-smoker and non vaper.
A driver is not required. There is free parking at the family home.
No pets.
