We are recruiting a permanent nanny on behalf of a lovely family who have a daughter who will be 11 months at the start date. They live in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh.
Start date: August 2026
Guaranteed Paid Monthly Hours: 121
Hourly Rate: £17.50 per hour gross (minimum monthly salary £2,117.50 gross)
Both parents work shifts, with Dad working away and mum working in Edinburgh. The family have therefore decided to base the nanny role around Mum’s days and hours which will vary each week and include weekdays, occasional weekends and evening work with some overnights.
They have a separate bedroom and bathroom in separate part of the house that the nanny will be encouraged to use as her own while working.
Their daughter is sociable and curious. She is meeting all her milestones and loves the outdoors. It is important to her parents that she feels safe and secure, in a loving and relaxed environment. They would love her to be well socialised for starting nursery in a few years.
They are a very active family, who love walking and exercising. They also love to travel and cook.
They would love their nanny to be kind, caring, flexible and reliable.
A driver with their own care would be desirable, but not essential. There is free parking at the family home.
A non-smoker is essential.
They have a very chilled Cockapoo/Bichon dog who is hypoallergenic.
