This lovely family are looking for a nanny to look after their son who is nearly 10 months. This job is during school term time.
The start date is asap.
Hourly rate is £15 per hour.
The hours will total 5 each week over two days i.e. three hours one day and two the other. The days that work for the family are Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays while their 3 year old is in Nursery. They can be flexible with times, but mornings would be more beneficial.
Their son is a very smiley happy wee boy and loves people. He has additional support needs including Dystonia and evolving Cerebral Palsy. He is fed through an NG tube and is currently waiting a small operation to have a peg feed fitted. He can take food orally however his progress is very slow and mainly still relies on formula. He will not need any food or medication while he is being looked after as the parents can do this before they leave. He is still unable to sit, has poor head control and very stiff muscle tone but he has equipment to helps with this. He has muscle spasms, mainly when he sleeps but these are not epileptic even though they are uncomfortable for him. He has had three EEG’s that have ruled out epilepsy at this time. He also has a cows milk protein allergy.
The parents are looking for a kind and caring nanny who will interact with their son. Someone with baby and ASN experience would be amazing due to his physical needs. He is very cognitively aware and loves attention. Ideally the successful candidate will have up to date Paediatric First Aid training or a willingness to do this asap. Ideally a non smoker but the parents are open to a smoker as long as they don’t smoke during work times.
A driver is not required but there is free parking at the family home.
The family have a friendly dog but it can stay in another room if required.
The parents work from home at times.
