This lovely family from Selkirk in the Scottish Borders are looking for a part time nanny to look after their youngest son who is currently 10 months. They also have a 3 year old who will be in nursery so the role will also involve collecting him.
The hours will be 20 hours each week over 2.5 days, ideally Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning but they can be flexible Monday to Thursday – Fridays are not required. Full days will be 9am to 5pm and 9am to 1pm on the half day.
The hourly rate is £15 per hour gross for employed nannies but the family are happy to discuss this rate if the nanny is already registered as self employed.
The start date is the end of May or the beginning of June 2025.
Their youngest son loves making music, dancing, water play, story books and animals. He is enjoying exploring the world around him.
They would like to find a nanny who is reliable, kind, patient, energetic, caring and engaging. Someone who enjoys the outdoors, countryside life and animals as there is so much scope for fun on the family’s land. The parents have been teaching their baby basic sign language and would love for the nanny to continue this: they have a book to share with all the signs they are using. Any knowledge or foreign languages would also be a bonus.
They would like the nanny to prepare the children’s meals, do the children’s laundry and some light food shopping. They would also love the nanny to continue to take their baby to swimming classes in Selkirk, however this is not a requirement.
Mum travels to London for work so there is scope for the nanny to go too but if this wasn’t of interest its not essential.
A non-smoker and non vaper is essential.
A driver with own car is required in order to get to the family home. However the family can provide their car for use while working. There is free parking at the family home.
The family have a small dog and some Shetland ponies.
Parents work from home.
