We have a lovely family who need an overnight nanny once a week to allow them some respite. This would be to support their daughter who is 4 years old.
This can be any weeknight and the hours will be 10pm to 6am.
Hourly rate is £19 per hour.
They live at Duddingston EH15 1
Start date is May 2025 with dates agreed for settling in.
Their daughter was diagnosed with MPSIIIA (Sanfilippo Syndrome) when she was 18 months old. This is a very rare genetic condition which will eventually replicate the effects of dementia in adults as she grows older. However, at the moment the effects of the condition are very mild. The family uses Makaton signing to aid communication with her alongside speech, so it would be helpful if the nanny was able to pick up some of the signs and have some basic deaf awareness, but it’s not essential at night.
The successful person will be happy to stay in their daughter’s room overnight while she sleeps and help her back to sleep if she wakes.
The family also have another younger child, but overnight support is not required for her.
There is free parking at the family home.
A non smoker and non vaper is preferred.
