We are recruiting a permanent wrapround care nanny (term time only), for a friendly family who live in Edinburgh. They have two children ages nine and seven.
Start date – August 2025 with some settling in days beforehand.
The hourly rate is £18.50 per hour gross.
Days and Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8am to 9.30am and 3pm to 6.30pm (totalling 15 hours per week).
Please note that the family are also happy to consider after school hours only.
During school holidays the family may request additional hours but this is dependent on the nanny’s availability.
Their eldest has ADHD. She is lovely, sparkly and fun with a great sense of humour. She can struggle at times with emotional regulation and in her parent’s opinion is emotionally younger than her age by approximately 3-4 years (as is normal in children with ADHD). She is very movement seeking and benefits from being in nature. She loves Harry Potter and Minecraft.
Their youngest is a sweetie, girly girl who loves slime and Barbies. She has empathy and ability to compromise which exceeds her age. It can sometimes be tricky to ensure her needs and attention are not overlooked by having to deal with her big sister if she is having a tricky day.
Both girls may have medication that will need to be administered.
They are looking for a nanny who is reliable, patient and has an understanding of ADHD. Someone with empathy and maturity who has the ability to set firm but fair boundaries. Other nanny tasks included such as meal preparation, washing and hanging up the girls laundry and encouraging and supporting them to tidy their rooms at the end of the day.
A driver with their own car is required and there is free parking at the family home. Mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
Parents will occasionally work from home.
They have a Cavapoo who may be home if the parents are working from home.
