Job Reference: LCSSEPT05
We are recruiting a permanent full time live-in nanny / mother’s help to work with a family who live in Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland.
The family are willing to consider a live out nanny who is happy to travel to them every day but live in is their preference.
They have 4 children ages 8, 7, 4 years and their youngest is 18 months.
Hourly rate: £13.50 gross per hour PLUS full board PLUS own separate year round accommodation PLUS food allowance PLUS light travel expenses each week.
Start Date: 29th September 2026
Days: Monday – Friday (approx 44 hours per week)
Times: between 8am -6pm (varying hours of the day, with break in middle and some days an earlier finish)
The two oldest children are in school during term time, their 4 year old is in nursery 3 days per week and the toddler is at home full time: he is 18 months and loves interactive fun games, outdoor learning and playtime which is important to the family as they live on a farm.
They describe themselves as a very active family, Daddy does Triathalon and has a very full on/full time job starting at 4:30am and finishing about 4:30pm. He works nearby so he is in and out for breakfast and lunch. Mummy is at home with her youngest and works as in the evenings and weekends. As a family, they love cycling, outdoors, running, and generally having fun together. They are a tight nuclear family with grandparents, uncles and aunties and cousins all living close by. They spend a lot of with family.
Their 4 year old is fully bilingual in Spanish, so a Spanish nanny/housekeeper would is highly desirable to speak with the two youngest boys in Spanish all the time.
The right candidate will be someone who can get stuck in and support mum during the day. At times this may be 1:1 with the children and other times the role will involve other nanny tasks related to the care of the children. This may include (but not limited to) organising laundry, changing beds and the upkeep of a tidy house. No cooking is required. There will be some days where a lot of time is spent with the younger boys and during holiday times the nanny and mum will go out together with the 4 children to do activities such as going to the beach, trampoline parks etc.
The successful candidate should have good experience with children but also experience in supporting parents to run an organised household with young children. They should be able to demonstrate good organisation skills and forward planning: thinking a few steps ahead about what the children/the house needs to run efficiently and effectively.
They don’t necessarily need a driver but the successful candidate may be able to use the family car if they are a driver. There is free parking at the family home.
A non smoker.
Information about the accommodation will be provided if the family wish to progress to an interview.
