Are you passionate about working with children and creating an environment where they can thrive? Lauder Out of School Club (LOSC) is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join its vibrant team in the beautiful town of Lauder.
About the organisation:
LOSC provides exceptional out-of-school care for children aged 3 to 11, from Nursery through to Primary 7, with a Breakfast Club, After-School Club, and Holiday Club. They are committed to fostering a safe, stimulating environment where children can lead their play, building confidence, responsibility, and joy in learning.
The Role:
This permanent role offers the opportunity to work across the Breakfast and After-School Clubs, with additional hours available during school holidays at our Holiday Club.
You will be part of a supportive team, helping to deliver creative and engaging play opportunities while ensuring the children are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of Breakfast, After-School, and Holiday Club sessions.
Foster a stimulating, engaging, and safe environment where children can explore, learn, and play.
Assist with activity planning in line with children’s interests and developmental needs.
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards.
What They Are Looking For:
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them grow.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ideally, a relevant childcare qualification (SCQF level 7 or above), but don’t worry if not – they are happy to provide training and support to help you become qualified, including assistance with funded training applications.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
