We are recruiting a permanent nanny on behalf of a lovely family who live in the Leith area of Edinburgh.
They have one child who is currently 13 months.
Start date is ASAP.
The hourly rate £16 per hour gross.
Days and Hours: Monday to Thursdays 8am to 1pm (20 hours per week).
Their son is a very sweet, cuddly, sensitive boy, so needs someone who is comfortable with being physically demonstrative and taking things really slowly and quietly at first. While he is happy for rougher/louder play once he knows someone, that takes time. He is extremely independent and the family would love someone who can practice Montessori style learning with him. His biggest comfort when mum is not there is his “big sister”, the family Labrador, so they need a nanny who is comfortable having a dog around as well. The nanny will take him to his BookBugs, parks and lots of outdoor play.
The successful nanny will be gentle and calm, caring, kind, fun and reliable. Experience of working with this age group is essential with the ability and skill to positively interact with him exploring his interests and development using a Montessori approach. A first aid qualification is highly desirable or a view to attending paediatric first aid as soon as possible.
A non-smoker and non vaper.
Mum will be working from home except for one day every few months when she will go into the office.
A driver is not required but a car is available if needed. There is free parking at the family home.
As mentioned above the family have a friendly, calm 6 year old Labrador.
