We are seeking an experienced and proactive nanny to join a family who live in Edinburgh EH12 6. They have three children who will be 6, nearly 4 and one year at the start date.
Start date: 19th August 2025
Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Hours: 8am to 6pm (30 hours per week)
Salary: £15 per hour gross
Their oldest child is loads of fun, outgoing and sociable. He is animal mad, enjoys exploring in the garden, Lego and Minecraft. He attends Edinburgh Academy, which is a 15-30 minute drive away depending on traffic. His parents will drop him off in the mornings and his nanny will collect him at 3.15pm. He may have after school activities some days and will need support with homework. During school holidays he will usually be home unless he attends any holiday clubs. Occasionally, Dad goes away with work so they may ask their nanny to take their oldest to school on these days, but any change to the usual routine we will always discussed well in advance.
Their middle child will be 4 in September. She too is loads of fun, very sociable and caring. She loves dressing up, her dolls, princesses, drawing and also enjoys playing outside and sports. She attends a mixture of nursery and playgroup so may be home during some of her nanny’s working days. Again her parents will drop her off in the mornings and her nanny will collect her. She too sometimes has other activities to attend which her nanny will take her to. She will be at home during school holidays.
Their youngest will be one in July. She is a very sweet, smiley baby and loves playing with her siblings. She is a good eater and sleeper. She has a morning and lunchtime nap. Her parents generally prefer her to nap at home so fit this around the school run and other activities. There is a baby playgroup she can go to while her sister is at her playgroup or she may enjoy going to Book Bugs or the park.
The successful candidate will have experience as a nanny of young children. They must be confident in supporting the children’s development through play and meeting their needs. Someone who loves being outdoors, who is happy to do some cooking and who is confident driving with the children in the car.
A driver is required with their own car – mileage will be paid for using own car at 45p per mile. Off street parking is available.
Non smoker and non vaper required.
The family have outdoor chickens, which are in an enclosed run.
The parents may work at home but this would only be once a week if they do. The work in a separate study.
