This lovely family who have moved to Kelso in the Scottish Borders are looking for a nanny to look after their twins who will be 3 in August 2025. This is a term time only position in line with the local school holiday dates.
They would ideally like a permanent nanny but are willing to consider temporary.
The days and hours will be: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8am to 5pm ( 27 hours per week). Additional hours can be offered during school holidays.
The hourly rate is around £16 per hour gross.
The start date is 13th May 2025.
The twins are curious, active, and love exploring the world around them. They enjoy outdoor activities such as nature walks and trips to the park, as well as creative indoor play like reading books, pretend play, and building blocks. The parents prepare all their meals in advance, and they nap for about an hour in the afternoon. Both appreciate consistency in their routines and interactions. Currently, their son enjoys taking the lead in activities, showing confidence and enthusiasm with his sister close behind him.
They are looking for a nanny with the following qualities and skills:
- Caring and Patient: Nurtures emotional growth and supports developmental milestones with understanding and encouragement.
- Energetic and Proactive: Engages the twins in outdoor adventures, local groups, and age-appropriate activities.
- Organised and Reliable: Maintains a consistent routine while being adaptable to the needs of active toddlers.
- Developmentally Supportive: Encourages language development, social skills, and independent play through meaningful interactions.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for toddlers.
- Relevant childcare qualifications or certifications
- Good understanding of toddler development and behaviour
This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about fostering creativity, curiosity, and growth in young children.
A non-smoker and non vaper is preferred.
A driver is not required but there is free parking at the family home.
Mum works from home.
