We have a lovely family with a 9 year old son who are looking for a nanny to care for him currently on a temporary basis while he is taking a step back from school.
The start date is asap. There is no known end date at this stage.
The days and hours will be: Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays ideally 9am to 5pm ( 24 hours per week), but the family can be a bit flexible with the start and finish times.
The hourly rate will start at £18 per hour gross, higher for a more experienced / qualified person.
He is a very fun, caring, curious boy. He loves animals, nature, science, stories, running, swimming, Minecraft and animal crossing. He is autistic and has ADHD and anxiety. He has a PDA profile. He is currently not able to attend school but the parents are hoping this is a short term situation. He can have flight/fight behaviour when dysregulated but this is mainly triggered by overwhelm and in a calm environment at home he is happy. He works best with gentle curious adults who are collaborative in their approaches. He is on medication for anxiety and ADHD but the nanny is not required to administer these medications. He has an Epipen for food allergies and an inhaler for asthma.
They are looking for a nanny who has experience with children with additional needs. Someone patient, fun loving and adaptable, keen on nature and science and knows how to follow and extend his interests.
A non-smoker and non vaper is preferred.
A driver is not required but there is free parking at the family home.
Parents do not work from home.
The family have two cats and a preying mantis and ant colony.
