We are recruiting a flexible after school nanny to support a family who live in Bonnyrigg, MidLothian.
This role will be fortnightly during term time when the children are with their Mum. However, alternative weeks may be discussed with Dad and additional hours in the school holidays can be offered.
The children are 12, 9 and 6 years. Care will mainly be for the two youngest boys.
Hourly rate: £15-£18 per hour gross
Start Date: ASAP but can be flexible.
Days and Hours: Mondays to Thursdays 3pm to 5pm/6pm and Fridays 12pm to 3pm.
Their oldest child is self sufficient; their 9 year old has autism and is being tested for ADHD through CAHMS; their youngest is currently on bowel medication. This does not need to administered by a nanny but he may need his nappy changed and needs to be prompted to use the toilet regularly for the time being. This is only temporary.
Both boys thrive from structure, consistency and routine therefore their home environment is best for them after school.
They need a nanny who has experience with additional needs so that they have a better understanding of how to meet the boys needs. Someone who is safety conscious and who loves playing games, enjoys walks, outdoor play in the garden and who can meet the children’s needs after a school day. Someone who is vigilant and can safely walk both boys home after school. Someone calm, patient, friendly and organised. A non smoker.
They ideally need a driver with their own car but not essential: there is free parking at the family home.
