We are recruiting a permanent after nursery nanny for a family who live in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh. They have one child who is 3.5 years.
Hourly rate: £17 per hour gross
Start Date: 31st August 2026 or as soon after as possible
Days and Hours: 2pm to 6pm across four days (negotiable). Some help on Sunday mornings would also be appreciated but this is not a deal breaker.
More hours are available during school holidays.
This lovely family are looking for a temporary nanny, initially until the Christmas break in December 2026. As a family they enjoy going to the beach, the zoo, museums and visiting friends and relatives at weekends.
They have a bright and bubbly 3.5 year old son who is very keen to learn.
They would therefore love to have a nanny who will stimulate his curious mind and keep him active. He enjoys going to park and having a run-around. The role will involve collecting him from nursery, doing fun activities with him and preparing his evening meal.
They would like a nanny who is kind, fun and encouraging and who genuinely loves engaging with children. Someone who has a friendly personality, and able to keep him mentally and physically stimulated in the afternoons. Some light house-keeping, principally keeping his bedroom and playroom clean and tidy and maintaining the kitchen and downstairs bathroom, when used.
They are ideally looking for a driver with own car but a car can be made available. There is free parking at the family home.
