We have a lovely opportunity for someone to work with a 14 year old boy at the weekend to give his parents respite.
The hours will be 4 each week, preferably at the weekend or a Friday afternoon/evening. This can also be divided into two sessions of two hours and includes school holidays.
The hourly rate is £17 per hour.
Start date is ASAP.
The young person has Fragile X Syndrome which involves learning and behaviour difficulties (no physical disabilities). He is very sociable and loves to play. He doesn’t understand complex ideas or instructions so all communication must be kept simple. He loves swimming, loves going to the park and cycling. He also loves going to Jump In trampolines, playing with trains, dressing up, pretend play, drawing, colouring and building.
The family would love for the successful candidate to take him out, particularly swimming.
The right candidate will be friendly, patient, energetic, enthusiastic and willing to play with him. Having experience and an understanding of working with a child with ASN would be an advantage.
A driver is required. Free parking at the family home.
The family have two cats.
