We are recruiting a permanent nanny on behalf of a lovely family who live in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow.
They have two children age 3.5 and 11 years old.
Start date: Ideally around 13th April 2026
The hourly rate: £16 per hour gross.
Days and Hours: Ideally 24 hours a week. Some flexibility and variability and ad hoc hours.
Set days: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm to 9pm.
More variable days: Fridays 12.30pm to 6pm, every other Saturday 9.30am to 6pm.
There is also the potential to swap some days for evenings depending on Dads shifts.
Their daughter is 3.5 years old. She has additional needs including delayed speech and development. She loves music, dancing, art, PJ Masks and her older brother. She is still in nappies. She has some issues with fluid intake, food and sleep – however great progress is being made.
Their son is 11 and has may have ADHD. He enjoys gaming, tv shows, playing UNO and Lego. He can be headstrong and challenges boundaries. He loves helping, being included and feeling special. He needs patience and flexibility but a firm touch, routines and familiarity. He can need help to manage transitions, like going to school. He is very competent in some areas but is masking to a degree, which the family and school are working to support. He can struggle emotionally and will need support around big feelings. As a family they work hard to manage these and reduce the demands and expectations on him.
The right nanny will be happy to stay with the family long term: someone who has lots of patience and energy, using this, their knowledge and experience to support and make an impact on an evolving family. Must be able to support the children’s routines. A team player and communicator to support Mum. Experience of additional support needs is highly desirable but it is more important to the family to find the right person who fits in with the family.
A non smoker is preferred but no smoking whilst working.
A driver with own car is required. There is free parking at the family home.
The family have a Labrador who is one year old. He may be trained as an assistance dog at some point. The nanny will need to let him out but he will be walked by a dog walker.
