This lovely family are looking for a reliable and trustworthy nanny to work with them after nursery 3pm to 6pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. More hours will be available and helpful during the school/nursery holidays. The role will be for maximum 12 months.
The start date is between September and latest by the end of October 2024. The family are due their second child early November and would like their nanny to be familiar with the routine and nursery collection for their nearly 3 year old.
The hourly rate is £15 per hour gross.
Their toddler is very active and enjoys going to the garden on his balance bike, running and exploring in nature. He also enjoys imaginative play, making make believe recipes and racing his toy cars. He is very conversational and is able to express his needs well. He eats well and likes to be helpful. He still finds transitions a bit tricky and needs to be given warnings before leaving the house, having a bath and going to bed for example. He may need some support when his new sibling arrives.
The right candidate will be caring and articulate, fully engaged and enthusiastic in playing alongside their toddler, developing his interests and meeting his needs. They must be comfortable walking and getting the bus from nursery to home (even in wet weather). Willing to help the family keep the children’s play area and toys clean and organised. Proactive in organising playtime, playdates and suggesting meals and snacks. Experience of caring for a newborn /young baby so that mum has the option of leaving their new baby with the nanny to allow her to collect her son from nursery too and spend time with him alone. Non smoker.
There is no free parking at the family home.
The parents on occasions work from home.
