This lovely family’s current nanny is sadly relocating so they are looking for an equally wonderful nanny to support them with their two children who are four and two years.
The start date is 14th October 2024 or as soon after as possible. Depending on the start date, it is hoped that the first week of work will consist of working with their existing nanny to ensure a smooth transition for the children.
The days and hours are: Mondays 12 noon to 5pm, Tuesdays 8.30am to 5pm, Wednesdays 8.30am to 5pm, Thursdays 8.30am to 5pm and Fridays 8.30am to 5pm (totalling 39 hours per week).
In addition, they would like their nanny to babysit one night per week (normally a Friday), occasional overnight stays and occasional travel with them (with at least four weeks notice).
The children are healthy, thriving, sweet and intelligent. They love animals, active outdoor play and cultural things. They also love reading, crafts, singing and role play. Their four year old is starting school in 2025.
They are looking for a nanny who is happy to commit to a long term contract and can become an integral part of the family. The successful candidate will have a good attendance record and be able to offer some flexibility at times with the working hours e.g. occasionally starting a bit earlier or finishing a bit later, babysitting once a week. They will actively ensure that the indoor and outdoor environment is safe and activities are nurturing, fun and engaging for the children. A love of outdoors is a must and you must also be able to swim so that you can accompany the children to their swimming lessons. Speaking another language as well as an interest in alternative approaches to care (e.g. Montessori, Forest Schools, Steiner) are an advantage. Non smoker is preferred.
A driver with clean licence is required for this job, the family will provide a car for use during working hours. Free parking at the family home.
The hourly rate is £15 to £18 per hour gross (£30,420 – £36,504 per annum) depending on experience. The family are happy to discuss a higher rate than this for an exceptional candidate who will provide high end learning experiences for the children. This would only be given after a successful probationary period.
Please note that the above rate and salary is for the core hours only. Any additional babysitting, weekend babysitting, overnights and holiday nannying will be paid in addition to this at an increased rate.
The family have a three year old Weimaraner dog. Although she is walked every day by a dog walker, the nanny will need to feel comfortable handling her when she is in the house.
