Two lovely neuro divergent boys, age 10 and 8 years, are looking for an PA/Nanny to look after them after school, three days each week during term time. This role will start ASAP.
Hourly rate is £18 per hour.
They are ideally looking for a permanent arrangement but would also be happy to employ someone who can help them until the end of school term, June 2024.
The days and hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3pm to 6pm (school pick up is at 3.10pm).
The oldest loves cats, drawing, construction toys, Lego, Hama beads, his 3D printing pen and building complex worlds in Minecraft. He also plays piano and has recently started learning saxophone. He is very creative and active and always on the go, he loves to chat. He has a dual diagnosis of ADHD and Autism and is prescribed medication which would require to be administered around 4.30pm each day.
The youngest loves pigs, cats, and supercars. He loves to play board games and is brilliant at Maths with his favourite computer game being Geometry Dash. He also has a diagnosis of Autism and has a strong preference for routines and quiet time.
The boys have different needs as described above with the oldest enjoying more stimulation than his brother however sometimes this means that their needs trigger each other. They are able to play together and enjoy this but need supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of neuro divergent children and their needs. They will be able to balance boundaries with flexibility, calmness and patience. They must have a good understanding/awareness of how to support neuro divergent children who can become emotionally dysregulated. They will also need to be able to tolerate a child (youngest) who may very rarely lash out physically (hitting) or verbally (swearing). Most important to the family though is to find someone with positive values and an enthusiastic and nurturing approach. An interest in music would be appreciated but not essential.
A driver with own car is required. Mileage will be paid during working hours. There is free parking at the family home.
Would prefer a non smoker.
The family have a friendly cat who will sit on your lap for cuddles or run away.
