This lovely family from Edinburgh are looking for a permanent part time nanny for their children who are 11, 9 and 2 years. This is ideally a term time only job in line with City of Edinburgh school term, however the family are happy to discuss this. This can also be offered as a salary to ensure the same income each month.
Start date is ASAP.
The days and hours are: Mondays 11.30am to 2.45pm, Tuesdays 8.45am to 2.45pm, Wednesdays 8.45am to 2.45pm, Thursdays 8.45am to 2.45pm and Fridays 11.30am to 2.45pm (totalling 24.5 hours per week). Plus ad hoc babysitting agreed in advance. Flexibility to stay on longer, if and when requested, would be welcome.
If a term time contract is agreed, the successful candidate will mainly be responsible for the care of their youngest child unless it is a school strike day or bank holiday. If a 52 week contract is agreed then the successful candidate will also be responsible for the older children during part of the school holidays.
The children are looking for a nanny who is kind, warm, fun, enthusiastic and active with proven and extensive nanny/childcare experience. They will be responsible for providing lots of fun, stimulating, educational indoor and outdoor activities on a daily basis, such as messy play, role play, arts and crafts, baking, music, exercise, games and puzzles. They will also be responsible for maintaining the children’s routine and for providing healthy meals and snacks. Local playgroup pick ups on Mondays and Fridays will be required. Other usual nanny duties will be expected including keeping the children’s rooms clean and tidy, their laundry and other child related tasks. Non smoker is required.
A driver with their own car and clean licence is required. Mileage will be paid for use of own car to transport the children. Free parking at the family home.
The hourly rate is £15 per hour gross.
The family have a very friendly Labrador and would love it if the nanny wanted to get involved in ad hoc dog walks, however this is not essential.
